Traffic lights timing needs to change

Published:

Traffic travelling east on Wrightson Road is still very bad, especially on mornings. It is all due to the traffic lights at the Colville Street/Wrightson Road intersection. The timing was changed some months ago and the light now stays on red much longer for the east-bound Wrightson Road traffic, while there is none or very little for west-bound traffic turning into Colville Street. As soon as you pass these lights it is clear right up to the lights at the Grand Bazaar intersection. I am pleading with the Minister of Works, Jack Warner, to help us by returning the lights to their original changing times and bring relief to thousands of citizens. A more permanent solution would be the creation of a third lane going west.
