The MSJ's de­ci­sion to with­draw from the PP Gov­ern­ment comes as no sur­prise, es­pe­cial­ly as the Prime Min­is­ter has made the MSJ's sta­tus of­fi­cial over the past few months. As an ob­serv­er, it is clear the de­mands of David Ab­du­lah, by way of of­fi­cial let­ters cir­cu­lat­ed over the past few months, were al­ways im­pos­si­ble and un­rea­son­able. Ab­du­lah's time in Gov­ern­ment didn't serve as a wean­ing process but grew a spoilt ba­by that is now un­able to dif­fer­en­ti­ate be­tween a labour leader and a gov­ern­ment sen­a­tor. His views are stuck on serv­ing one group of peo­ple and not the na­tion as a whole.

Was there any con­sul­ta­tion with the labour mass­es he pur­ports to rep­re­sent on this de­ci­sion? The MSJ's with­draw­al is of no loss or con­se­quence to the Gov­ern­ment but sim­ply a shed­ding of weight and ob­struc­tion­ists so the work could go on. The MSJ failed to push its agen­da while in pow­er, hav­ing re­moved it­self and burnt the bridges it crossed. I am urg­ing Ab­du­lah to call his first mass meet­ing, not backed by PP sup­port. Call in your troops. The na­tion awaits your next show of strength.
