Withdrawal simply a shedding of weight
The MSJ’s decision to withdraw from the PP Government comes as no surprise, especially as the Prime Minister has made the MSJ’s status official over the past few months. As an observer, it is clear the demands of David Abdulah, by way of official letters circulated over the past few months, were always impossible and unreasonable. Abdulah’s time in Government didn’t serve as a weaning process but grew a spoilt baby that is now unable to differentiate between a labour leader and a government senator. His views are stuck on serving one group of people and not the nation as a whole.
Was there any consultation with the labour masses he purports to represent on this decision? The MSJ’s withdrawal is of no loss or consequence to the Government but simply a shedding of weight and obstructionists so the work could go on. The MSJ failed to push its agenda while in power, having removed itself and burnt the bridges it crossed. I am urging Abdulah to call his first mass meeting, not backed by PP support. Call in your troops. The nation awaits your next show of strength.
