Why no consultation with union members on MSJ withdrawal?
The MSJ’s recent unethical stand in withdrawing from the coalition government without any form of consultation with the union membership was distasteful to say the least. I demand that a referendum be held so that OWTU members can have a say in determining the future of the union.
David Abdulah criticised the Government for lack of consultation on the Point Fortin highway, yet he is not practising what he is preaching. Where was our consultation, Abdulah? Isolationist thinking will ultimately lead to the fall of any trade union leader. Abdulah and Ancel Roget have indeed big boots to fill, as left by Errol Mc Leod. As our leaders they leave a lot to be desired.
