The MSJ's re­cent un­eth­i­cal stand in with­draw­ing from the coali­tion gov­ern­ment with­out any form of con­sul­ta­tion with the union mem­ber­ship was dis­taste­ful to say the least. I de­mand that a ref­er­en­dum be held so that OW­TU mem­bers can have a say in de­ter­min­ing the fu­ture of the union.

David Ab­du­lah crit­i­cised the Gov­ern­ment for lack of con­sul­ta­tion on the Point Fortin high­way, yet he is not prac­tis­ing what he is preach­ing. Where was our con­sul­ta­tion, Ab­du­lah? Iso­la­tion­ist think­ing will ul­ti­mate­ly lead to the fall of any trade union leader. Ab­du­lah and An­cel Ro­get have in­deed big boots to fill, as left by Er­rol Mc Leod. As our lead­ers they leave a lot to be de­sired.
