When I heard that Jack Warn­er was made the new Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty, it brought a broad smile to my face. I know he's a man of ac­tion and I now look for­ward to him fi­nal­ly giv­ing mem­bers of the Spe­cial Re­serve Po­lice their just due and the type of recog­ni­tion and com­men­da­tions that they de­serve. He be­ing a past SRP, he would be aware of how they are treat­ed.

SRPs are cry­ing out for prop­er terms and com­pen­sa­tion. They work very hard with no sick leave, no hol­i­days, and if they are in­jured it's NIS they have to look to for help, es­pe­cial­ly those work­ing 40 hours a week for over the last four-five years.

Please, Mr Min­is­ter, do some­thing for them. They are hu­mans al­so and have fam­i­lies.
