The Plan­ning Com­mit­tee of the March for Je­sus, on its own be­half, on be­half of those or­gan­i­sa­tions as­so­ci­at­ed with us and al­so on be­half of the Ro­man Catholic Church in our coun­try, ut­ter­ly re­jects and dis­as­so­ci­ates it­self from an e-mail dat­ed June 23. The e-mail makes it ap­pear that it comes from the March for Je­sus Plan­ning Com­mit­tee and con­tains the of­fen­sive and mis­lead­ing words "our coun­try is be­ing run." The pub­lic is be­ing asked to ig­nore this e-mail should it come to your at­ten­tion. The com­mit­tee re­peats that the pur­pose of the march, to be held on Sun­day, is to call the coun­try to unite in prayer to God, so that the scourges of crime, death and im­moral­i­ty will be de­feat­ed. The march al­so cel­e­brates the 50th an­niver­sary of our coun­try's in­de­pen­dence.
