I noticed that the Divine Echoes will be disbanded before Independence Day; August 23 to be exact. What is the rationale behind this move? Can someone explain? Is it because the idea is a product of the last administration? With all the wild spending of taxpayers' dollars, I am sure the Divine Echoes deserves to exist. Is there petty politics at play?
These young people are all musically literate. Why can't they be used, when not practising, in a creative way as part of the music in schools programme, or even music schools in the panyard programme? The Divine Echoes members can help shape our musicians of the future. What kind of people are we, always quick to get rid of something good?
