I no­ticed that the Di­vine Echoes will be dis­band­ed be­fore In­de­pen­dence Day; Au­gust 23 to be ex­act. What is the ra­tio­nale be­hind this move? Can some­one ex­plain? Is it be­cause the idea is a prod­uct of the last ad­min­is­tra­tion? With all the wild spend­ing of tax­pay­ers' dol­lars, I am sure the Di­vine Echoes de­serves to ex­ist. Is there pet­ty pol­i­tics at play?

These young peo­ple are all mu­si­cal­ly lit­er­ate. Why can't they be used, when not prac­tis­ing, in a cre­ative way as part of the mu­sic in schools pro­gramme, or even mu­sic schools in the pa­n­yard pro­gramme? The Di­vine Echoes mem­bers can help shape our mu­si­cians of the fu­ture. What kind of peo­ple are we, al­ways quick to get rid of some­thing good?
