I at­tend­ed the EMA Green Lifestyle Show at the Hilton and was pleased to see a Cepep booth among the ex­hibitors. Most peo­ple think of Cepep as re­spon­si­ble for clean­ing the en­vi­ron­ment and paint­ing stones but on vis­it­ing the booth I learnt that it pro­vides dif­fer­ent ser­vices. The Cepep ma­rine pro­gramme has col­lect­ed ap­prox­i­mate­ly 20,000 bags of garbage from wet­lands and coastal ar­eas since its launch in Jan­u­ary.

I was al­so told about its dis­as­ter and emer­gency re­sponse and dead an­i­mal re­moval teams, al­so known as Dert and Dart, which un­der­take work through­out T&T. Their busi­ness de­vel­op­ment area is what grabbed my in­ter­est as I was un­aware that I can pay Cepep for beau­ti­fi­ca­tion and clean­ing ser­vices for my pri­vate prop­er­ty. I com­mend the Cepep on the ex­pan­sion of its ser­vices and I hope peo­ple re­alise that it is more than just paint­ing stones.
