Cepep more than just about painting stones

I attended the EMA Green Lifestyle Show at the Hilton and was pleased to see a Cepep booth among the exhibitors. Most people think of Cepep as responsible for cleaning the environment and painting stones but on visiting the booth I learnt that it provides different services. The Cepep marine programme has collected approximately 20,000 bags of garbage from wetlands and coastal areas since its launch in January.

 

I was also told about its disaster and emergency response and dead animal removal teams, also known as Dert and Dart, which undertake work throughout T&T. Their business development area is what grabbed my interest as I was unaware that I can pay Cepep for beautification and cleaning services for my private property. I commend the Cepep on the expansion of its services and I hope people realise that it is more than just painting stones.
