Clerk giving retirees a difficult time
I would like the Minister of Food Production, Devant Maharaj, to look into the staff at the Human Resource Division, particularly the Employees Relations Unit. Whenever retired staff members go to collect their cheques, the clerk responsible for handing out those cheques is never at her desk.
I stood there waiting on her and her supervisor had to call other departments to get her to return to her desk. Apparently she does not have much work to do. The blame for this should be placed squarely on her supervisor who allows her to disappear at crucial times. How could this be allowed to continue when there are people who are willing to work and not just collect a salary? Please Minister Maharaj, I am pleading with you to help the retired staff members of your ministry to be able to get service at that particular department.
