The more I lis­ten to and read the lo­cal news dai­ly, the more I am con­vinced that the in­fa­mous in­vestor, Bernie Mad­off, is of Trinida­di­an lin­eage and that there are still mem­bers of his clan domi­ciled here on the is­land and per­pet­u­at­ing the fam­i­ly tra­di­tion. I do not know un­der whose port­fo­lio an in­ves­ti­ga­tion of the lo­cal Mad­offs would fall, but I do urge, very strong­ly, that every ef­fort be made to ex­pose and in­car­cer­ate these peo­ple be­fore too many more of our cit­i­zens' lives are brought to ru­in.

Maybe CoP Gibbs and Min­is­ter Warn­er can put aside their ma­cho per­son­al­i­ties and col­lab­o­rate on this par­a­sitic prob­lem be­fore we wake up one morn­ing to dis­cov­er that some­one has made off with our en­tire Trea­sury. And a cau­tion­ary note to all the would-be in­vestors out there: if it sounds too good to be true etc, etc.
