Members of Madoff clan operating in T&T

The more I listen to and read the local news daily, the more I am convinced that the infamous investor, Bernie Madoff, is of Trinidadian lineage and that there are still members of his clan domiciled here on the island and perpetuating the family tradition. I do not know under whose portfolio an investigation of the local Madoffs would fall, but I do urge, very strongly, that every effort be made to expose and incarcerate these people before too many more of our citizens’ lives are brought to ruin.

 

Maybe CoP Gibbs and Minister Warner can put aside their macho personalities and collaborate on this parasitic problem before we wake up one morning to discover that someone has made off with our entire Treasury. And a cautionary note to all the would-be investors out there: if it sounds too good to be true etc, etc.
