Use gloves when handling doubles

I thought by now that those doubles vendor who still sell their very tasty delicacy to members of the public and to our visiting friends and families would have come to realise that much more people are becoming health conscious and as such the vendors need to change the manner in which doubles are sold.

I am referring to those people who take out the doubles from the containers with their bare hands. Now I know it will be said that there is another person who deals with the handling of money only, but such practice is still not sanitary. As a human being, one will always find something to do with his/her hands.

I have also observed that what some of those vendors wipe their hands on a nearby damp piece of cloth. This is also not sanitary because what is being done is the transferring of germs from the cloth to the hands and onto the doubles, which is then consumed.

I am therefore requesting thatthose doubles vendors put a stop immediately to this practice and do like so many other vendors by using a spatula or tongs and nottheir bare hands to take out the doubles from the containers. I am also asking the Minister of Health and other relevant authorities to deal with this matter urgently. If laws have to be enacted for this healthy practice to be followed, then let it be done soon.
