Open let­ter to Port-of-Spain May­or Louis Lee Sing: Your traf­fic plan shows one-way traf­fic north­bound on Cor­ne­lio Street. How­ev­er, there are no signs or street lines in­di­cat­ing it is in fact one-way be­tween Tra­garete Road and Robert Street. Sec­ond­ly, Baden Pow­ell is high­light­ed as be­ing a ded­i­cat­ed east­bound Street. How­ev­er, there are again no signs or street lines in­di­cat­ing this when turn­ing off French Street. Can com­muters be legal­ly charged for us­ing these routes in the ab­sence of prop­er sig­nage?

Third­ly, there is a sol­id line across Stone Street when turn­ing off Ari­api­ta Av­enue. As per reg­u­la­tions, sol­id lines across mean "no en­try." Yet, there is a stop sign fac­ing you if you turn on­to Stone Street.

Please clar­i­fy these is­sues, Mr May­or. As a dai­ly com­muter on these routes, may I sug­gest that you have the traf­fic lights ad­just­ed dur­ing rush hour on morn­ings and af­ter­noons. This should ease the con­ges­tion on Wright­son Road (both in­com­ing and out­go­ing) dur­ing these peak hours. Ad­di­tion­al­ly, re­move the bar­ri­ers bor­der­ing Wright­son Road and var­i­ous side streets in Wood­brook so there would be less con­ges­tion on the ma­jor roads lead­ing on­to Wright­son Road.
