I support all those who have condemned the killing of the helpless young turtles and the destruction of turtle eggs on the beach in Grande Riviere. The termination of young innocent life that could have been of benefit to humankind is always cause for concern. This is why I cannot support abortion of innocent babies, for, just like the young turtles and their eggs, young humans have a right to life.
I wonder what we would have said to the hotel owner if he had said it is his property and he could do anything he wants with it. We doubtless would have termed him callous and insensitive to life. Are we then the ones who support those who, in reference to innocent unborn humans, say, "This is my body and I can do anything I want with it," and use this to justify the killing of the unborn human?
