A few weeks ago, residents in the West were pleasantly surprised when a large contractor repaved the Morne Coco Road, from Westmoorings to Four Roads. Two days later the white lines were applied. Two days after that, however, three leaks had pushed themselves up through the new asphalt.
So now, less than two weeks after the road was repaved, WASA is going to have to dig up the road. Why can't we have proper planning among the agencies involved in projects like this? That way leaks would be fixed before roads are repaved and so the country gets value for money. Don't we pay people to do this?
