The criminals are certainly in glee and thanking the Government for getting rid of Police Commissioner Dwayne Gibbs and his deputy Jack Ewatski. They may be even thinking the Government is on their side. The two Canadians were in the process of changing the Police Service to make it more relevant to the needs of a country on the brink of First World status. But with their departure the process will come to an end and we will be back to square one-the criminals in charge and all hope for better days dashed.
Gibbs and Ewatski have nothing to be ashamed about. They can hold their heads high. The Government, however, should hang its head in shame for hounding these two men out of office. It's turn will come though.
