In light of the recent event concerning the former junior minister in the Ministry of National Security, I ask the following questions: Was Mr Partap a bit too young for such a prestigious and responsible position?
Was his appointment to that position a disadvantage to him, concerning life and experience? It is very difficult to suffer the consequences without having learned the lesson. My compliments and congratulations to the Prime Minister on her quick and decisive action. The action of the Acting Police Commissioner must also be highly complimented. He hit the ground running and was down there with the grass roots of his protégés. Unfortunately, the immorality of politics and the convenience of opposition to the CoP's actions is a classical example of a catch 22-"damned if he does, damned if he doesn't." He was correct in his actions. In conclusion, if Mr Partap wanted to party, why did he not use a chauffeur? I wonder if the battle is being lost for want of a horseshoe nail.
