A very close examination of the Partap affair has revealed some startling conclusions. The first is that our young ministers cannot handle power. They therefore clothe themselves with arrogance and lord it over the populace who they are supposed to serve as though they are now monarch of all that they survey and there must be none to dispute.
Having not been exposed to leadership roles at school they are actually overawed by their newfound power and react often in a haughty manner. In the UK there are leading schools with a long history of producing national leaders, as Fettes in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Eton and Harrow in England. And then of course Oxford and Cambridge. These graduates are thus able to handle leadership roles.
Unfortunately we have no such institutions. We therefore have to rely on parental and social upbringing. Under these circumstances the PM has to look beyond the elected members in order to draw upon the rich talents which lie outside the elected house or she will have a hard time to corral those wayward members who embarrass her ever so often.
