Congratulations to all the recipients of National Awards for their service, but disappointingly I thought I would have seen the names of Leston Paul, Anya Ayoung Chee and Sonny Francois ( Mighty Power) on the list. Mr Paul has, over a number of years, given us some of the best music this country has ever produced being the person behind the music for such greats as Kitchener, Sparrow, Merchant, Baron, Arrow, Scrunter and so many, many more. Anya Ayoung Chee for her contribution to fashion design and also putting T&T on the fashion map when she won the Project Runway show before the eyes of the world; and the late Sonny Francois (Mighty Power) for his contribution to the true calypso art form.
