With­out even try­ing out the abort­ed traf­fic plan for Wood­brook and en­vi­rons for at least one week with the new school term, we are back to square one with the end­less lines of bumper to bumper traf­fic as ex­pe­ri­enced Mon­day morn­ing. Need­less to say the af­ter­noon was be just as bad, but cer­tain peo­ple "like it so". Now we will nev­er know if the plan would have helped the sit­u­a­tion or not.

As I have said be­fore, while I agree that the over­all plan was a bit too much of a bite to swal­low, there was, and still is need for some changes on cer­tain streets to avoid the bot­tle­necks. The traf­fic in Wood­brook and St James has be­come no­tice­ably worse over the past three years. Af­ter all the streets were laid out over 50 to 60 years ago, so now with tens of thou­sands of more cars on the roads, you can't ex­pect to con­tin­ue with the same traf­fic plan and not ex­pect to have prob­lems dur­ing the peak hours.

At least those peo­ple who want­ed the plan stopped have noth­ing to com­plain about now-or do they?
