Back to the same old traffic grind
Without even trying out the aborted traffic plan for Woodbrook and environs for at least one week with the new school term, we are back to square one with the endless lines of bumper to bumper traffic as experienced Monday morning. Needless to say the afternoon was be just as bad, but certain people “like it so”. Now we will never know if the plan would have helped the situation or not.
As I have said before, while I agree that the overall plan was a bit too much of a bite to swallow, there was, and still is need for some changes on certain streets to avoid the bottlenecks. The traffic in Woodbrook and St James has become noticeably worse over the past three years. After all the streets were laid out over 50 to 60 years ago, so now with tens of thousands of more cars on the roads, you can't expect to continue with the same traffic plan and not expect to have problems during the peak hours.
At least those people who wanted the plan stopped have nothing to complain about now—or do they?
