The COP’s dilemma

Published:

In trying to get Jack Warner out of the Cabinet, the COP has found itself between the horns of a dilemma. They are attacking one of the most powerful men in the UNC-led Government. There are many other issues upon which they could make their demands and which are more profitable in the political sense. There is the recent bulldozing of the pawpaw and pumpkin plantations of the farmers. This was an act of sheer lunacy especially when the whole world is crying for food and we are importing all our food at exorbitant cost in hard-earned dollars. Somebody needs to have his head examined. This is more important than Jack Warner. Did any member of the COP visit these farmers to share their grief and concerns and so get them on their side? There are many such issues that went abegging, and these are the people who you are going to ask to vote in the next election. These are the real political issues, not Jack.
