I can­not sit in si­lence and not say any­thing about this con­tro­ver­sial Ad­min­is­tra­tion of Jus­tice (In­dictable Pro­ceed­ings) Act which would al­low some to es­cape pros­e­cu­tion and be freed of their charges. It's a black spot on the Govt and is wor­thy of crit­i­cism of all law abid­ing cit­i­zens. The Govt has dropped the ball on this one. I sup­port the Gov­ern­ment, but I am very dis­ap­point­ed and baf­fled in try­ing to un­der­stand why the Prime Min­is­ter could al­low her Gov­ern­ment to sub­vert jus­tice in sweet T&T. La­dy jus­tice is blind or even blind­fold­ed, but she is not dumb. There is cer­tain­ly no ex­cus­es to jus­ti­fy this act of stu­pid­i­ty by the Gov­ern­ment.

I some­times won­der about peo­ple who gov­ern. They think that peo­ple are fools and would sup­port them blind­ly with what­ev­er they do. This act of in­jus­tice and con­spir­a­cy has tak­en away a lot of cred­i­bil­i­ty of the Govt. I have lost faith, but it has brought me back to this old adage "Who we go put?" Politi­cians are all the same-on­ly seek­ing pow­er and are un­trust­wor­thy. We jumped from the fry­ing pan in­to the fire. It's a very sad day for jus­tice in Trinidad and To­ba­go.
