Bad move by Government

I cannot sit in silence and not say anything about this controversial Administration of Justice (Indictable Proceedings) Act which would allow some to escape prosecution and be freed of their charges. It’s a black spot on the Govt and is worthy of criticism of all law abiding citizens. The Govt has dropped the ball on this one. I support the Government, but I am very disappointed and baffled in trying to understand why the Prime Minister could allow her Government to subvert justice in sweet T&T. Lady justice is blind or even blindfolded, but she is not dumb. There is certainly no excuses to justify this act of stupidity by the Government.

I sometimes wonder about people who govern. They think that people are fools and would support them blindly with whatever they do. This act of injustice and conspiracy has taken away a lot of credibility of the Govt. I have lost faith, but it has brought me back to this old adage “Who we go put?” Politicians are all the same—only seeking power and are untrustworthy. We jumped from the frying pan into the fire. It’s a very sad day for justice in Trinidad and Tobago.
