It is a well es­tab­lished prin­ci­ple that as a leader, ei­ther in busi­ness, church or in this case, the leader of gov­ern­ment, one should strive at all times to lead by ex­am­ple. Last Thurs­day night I sat in dis­gust as my fam­i­ly and I sat for 45 min­utes wait­ing for the Prime Min­is­ter's ad­dress to the na­tion. This is the third con­sec­u­tive ad­dress to the na­tion by this Prime Min­is­ter that has run con­sid­er­ably late and I find it to be rep­re­hen­si­ble to say it mild­ly.

How can we in­still dis­ci­pline in our so­ci­ety if there isn't any at the lead­er­ship lev­el? Madam Prime Min­is­ter, I think we can do bet­ter than that. We ap­pre­ci­ate the dif­fi­cul­ty of your job but that does not give you the right to dis­re­spect the en­tire pop­u­la­tion in such a man­ner.
