The claims made by the re­cent­ly fired min­is­ters of gov­ern­ment that they would now be bet­ter able to serve their con­stituents may be in­ter­pret­ed that, as Mem­bers of Par­lia­ment, at best they have not done a good enough job, or at worst, they have ne­glect­ed their con­stituents. The in­escapable con­clu­sion is that they have both reached their lev­els of in­com­pe­tence in han­dling their joint port­fo­lios of mem­bers of Par­lia­ment and min­is­ters. This re­flects bad­ly on the judge­ment of the Prime Min­is­ter.

The nu­mer­ous in­ci­dents of in­fight­ing and oth­er egre­gious acts in the board­rooms of many State com­pa­nies and agen­cies seem to in­di­cate that the af­flic­tion of in­com­pe­tence is wide­spread and is await­ing the sur­gi­cal in­ter­ven­tion as promised by the Prime Min­is­ter some time ago. In the in­ter­im, I am call­ing on my MP to give up his min­is­te­r­i­al port­fo­lio and con­cen­trate on serv­ing his con­stituents so as to avoid the in­dig­ni­ty of be­ing the next one to be fired, much to the em­bar­rass­ment of his con­stituents.
