Distasteful “Democracy is Alive” broadcast
Please allow me some space in your newspaper to voice my disgust of the panel of speakers—Suruj Rambachan, Roodal Monilal, Ashworth Jack, Jack Warner, Anil Roberts on television last Wednesday night. This one-hour broadcast was nothing short of public relations in defensive mode for the Peoples Partnership government. I was appalled at the distasteful rumshop type behaviour displayed by our ministers who have been charged with running the affairs of this country. For a while I thought that we were in election mode-campaigning begins! My question is, what are this present administration’s plans for investment in this country? We want good governance, not big music trucks and distribution of mugs with the Prime Minister’s face on it.
