The annual budget reminds me of the T&T Carnival in that every year its the same old thing. The same bands, the same costumes, the same people, the same tired jump and wine “road marches”, all of this but with different names. So it is with the budget. We have been building a road to Chaguaramas for over 40 years. Here we go again. Not to mention the 10 police stations. These are just a couple of items to make the point.
Minister Howai, a most intelligent man and of whom I have the greatest of respect, knows exactly what has to be done to put this country right. My fear is that he is not going to be allowed to do so.
