San Fernando going green
I’ve been visiting my relatives in San Fernando on a monthly basis over the past several years. Within the last year or so, I’ve noticed a visible change which led me to believe that the natural land mark that is San Fernando Hill, is being gradually expanded either naturally or by the inability of the current mayor and his team to arrest same.
The streets, verges and pavements of San Fernando are being taken over by vegetation growth and garbage. San Fernando is literally going green. I now feel compelled to write this letter since the sinkhole on Scott Street, which developed as a result of incompetent engineering and shoddy workmanship, can only add to the ‘natural beauty’ of the environmental park in progress. Mr Mayor, take a bow with pride. Or go and hide.
