Not a drum was heard, not a fu­ner­al note, from Pantrin­ba­go nor the PNM for Bertie Alon­zo Fras­er who was buried on Oc­to­ber 6, af­ter suc­cumb­ing to can­cer in Co­lum­bia, Mary­land on Sep­tem­ber 27, 2012.

Fras­er was a for­mer pres­i­dent of Pan Trin­ba­go and served the PNM as par­lia­men­tary rep­re­sen­ta­tive for Tu­na­puna from 1976-1981. He was a par­lia­men­tary sec­re­tary. In 1965 he al­so had an­oth­er first by grad­u­at­ing in com­pa­ny with Jack Warn­er, Al­lan Clo­vis, Fe­lix Ed­in­bor­ough, Earl John, Mon­ty Chap­man and dis­tin­guished oth­ers, from the pi­o­neer in­take of stu­dent-teach­ers of the pre-ser­vice Mau­si­ca Teach­ers' Col­lege.

On be­half of a neg­li­gent Pantrin­ba­go and PNM, thank you Broth­er Bertie, for ser­vices ren­dered and may your soul rest in peace.
