Within recent times members of the San Juan community have observed a renewal of energy and spirit in the San Juan police that merits highlight and commendation on a public scale.
We are grateful for the noticeable increase in foot patrols, responsiveness to phone calls and the officers' genuine interaction with residents. This week has seen the San Juan police engage in activities to ensure illegally parked vehicles are removed from the Croisee, no doubt as a necessary traffic management exercise.
Of the many police stations with which I interact, the San Juan police have always stood out for the patience and courtesy extended to concerned citizens. However, it is their willingness to try new measures and accept recommendations from the public, which make us especially proud of them.
I congratulate these officers and their management of the station, albeit with strained and limited resources. Their work is not going unnoticed. We look forward to the continued efforts of the San Juan police with interest and gratitude.
