With­in re­cent times mem­bers of the San Juan com­mu­ni­ty have ob­served a re­new­al of en­er­gy and spir­it in the San Juan po­lice that mer­its high­light and com­men­da­tion on a pub­lic scale.

We are grate­ful for the no­tice­able in­crease in foot pa­trols, re­spon­sive­ness to phone calls and the of­fi­cers' gen­uine in­ter­ac­tion with res­i­dents. This week has seen the San Juan po­lice en­gage in ac­tiv­i­ties to en­sure il­le­gal­ly parked ve­hi­cles are re­moved from the Croisee, no doubt as a nec­es­sary traf­fic man­age­ment ex­er­cise.

Of the many po­lice sta­tions with which I in­ter­act, the San Juan po­lice have al­ways stood out for the pa­tience and cour­tesy ex­tend­ed to con­cerned cit­i­zens. How­ev­er, it is their will­ing­ness to try new mea­sures and ac­cept rec­om­men­da­tions from the pub­lic, which make us es­pe­cial­ly proud of them.

I con­grat­u­late these of­fi­cers and their man­age­ment of the sta­tion, al­beit with strained and lim­it­ed re­sources. Their work is not go­ing un­no­ticed. We look for­ward to the con­tin­ued ef­forts of the San Juan po­lice with in­ter­est and grat­i­tude.
