Everything bogged down in red tape

What a great pity it is that it took a disaster like Hurricane Sandy to cause the president of the United States to declare “No red tape, no bureaucracy—let’s just get it done!” Our Government needs to take a serious look at this and how that same ‘red tape’ has an effect on our daily lives.

Everything that needs to be done to assist those in need seems to get bound down by those very obstacles. With all the ministries that there are it would appear to be a simple formula for helping our aged citizens who are less fortunate. But this is not so.

I belong to an association that tries to work with those who cannot help themselves, but when I enquire as to why we can’t get government donations I am told that the problem lies within a particular department whose members in the majority belong to another faith! This, in our great nation where every creed and race find an equal place. Give me a break!
