The parking restrictions placed on Clarence Street-which is a one-way-is causing great distress to residents. The majority of residents park on the road side (right hand), and now with these new restrictions every morning residents must move their cars from one side to the other. This is done according to our sleep patterns. Shift workers now have to wake up to move their cars.
What happens to residents when they go on vacation and there is no one to move their cars? We never had any traffic issues on this street and all parking was done on the right-hand side as more spots are available. Parking restrictions should not be placed in residential areas. However, to eliminate double parking, authorities should erect no parking signs on one side of the road. This would eliminate any foreseeable issues.
