The Parking restrictions placed on Clarence Street, St James, which is one-way, is causing great distress to residents. The majority of residents park on the road (right side). With these new restrictions, every morning residents must move their cars from one side to the other.
What happens to residents when they go on vacation and there is no one to move their cars? We have never had any traffic issues on this street and all parking was done on the right as more spots are available. Parking restrictions should not be placed in residential areas. However, to eliminate double parking, authorities should erect no-parking signs on one side of the road.
