Well, it seems that David Abdullah has finally awakened from his brief slumber. I draw reference to his THA elections post-mortem the morning after the election results. It was expected though that he and his cohorts would have jumped at the opportunity to rub salt in the PP's now festering wound. I personally don't have a problem with some of the pronouncements he has made regarding the resounding defeat of the TOP. There is some merit to his reasoning as to why the TOP lost the election.
The question I beg to ask my dear brother is: David where were you when "Calcutta ship" was being trumpeted on the political platform? How come you, Roget, Fixin T&T et al did not come out and denounce this most blatant display of racism? How come there was no planned march from Port-of-Spain over waters to Scarborough. After all, the MSJ gospel has been social justice for our citizens.
Clearly, Sandy's "Calcutta ship" was not speaking of equality since his utterances unequivocally implied that one ethnic group be stopped from entering Tobago. I wonder, Mr Abdullah, what your mentors Martin Luther King Jr and Mahatma Gandhi would have had to say about the "Calcutta" campaign. We can now conclude that Abdullah is playing political games and does not have social justice at heart. I beg to move that the MSJ now be considered a non-entity.
