"Calcutta Backlash" "Fear, not Race"
With only a casual glance at the above front page headlines which appeared in one of our daily newspapers, anyone could falsely assume that a bloody war is being fought by the two largest racial groups in our country. This is not the image we would like to project to the rest of the world. It seems, however, our media professionals think otherwise.
We are expecting many foreign visitors for our national Carnival celebrations and like all patriotic citizens of T&T we should resist the temptation to sensationalise any negative aspects of our country in the media.I am pleading to our selfish politicians to leave race out of our political culture.
