What are the management and security doing about the beggars at Trincity Mall? They wait in the parking lot for us, or approach us quietly at the tables in the food court.I have no problem giving charity to those in need, but when a woman approaches me with jewelry and hairstyles that I can never afford, I know she does not know her priorities.
In addition, many of these beggars walk with fraudulent "testimonials". I have further observed that they are very particular about whom they target. They seek out the young people or couples, using the strategy that the man would feel ashamed to refuse to give them money in front of his lady.
Need I also say that people of East Indian descent tend to be widely targeted by these beggars as there is the stigma of docility in the character of East Indians. I promote the giving of charity, but please be careful who you are giving it to.
