While I do not pro­fess to be psy­chic or have pow­ers of prophe­cy, I must say that I more or less pre­dict­ed the sen­tence (not to the dol­lar) that was hand­ed down by the mag­is­trate on Machel Mon­tano and Ker­nal Roberts.

Af­ter all, I have lived here all my life and know the modus operan­di of this coun­try re­gard­less of which par­ty runs it. Some might say it is part of our cul­ture. That, of course, is de­bat­able in First World coun­tries, but then again how can I be so sense­less as to make com­par­isons.

You are go­ing to be read­ing and hear­ing the ma­jor­i­ty of the pop­u­la­tion rant­i­ng about the de­ci­sion and how they lit­er­al­ly "get off" with a slap on the wrist, but did you re­al­ly ex­pect any­thing more to hap­pen? You op­ti­mists will nev­er learn. What an ex­am­ple they have set for the youth of this na­tion. An­oth­er gen­er­a­tion de­stroyed.

The less said the bet­ter be­cause any­thing said will be like wa­ter on a duck's back to those in au­thor­i­ty. The on­ly thing left for me to quote is the last line of our na­tion­al an­them. For the ben­e­fit of those of you who don't know it–and may God bless our na­tion.
