The once quiet cross streets leading out to Damien Street, Woodbrook, have become a busy thoroughfare, all because of the recently-installed traffic light at the Damien and Warren Streets' intersection, which is proving to be a nightmare to motorists and residents.
It is obvious the timing of the green light for Damien Street is too short which is causing never-before-seen two-lane traffic on this street and the cross streets; motorists now have to wait a good five minutes or more just to get onto Damien Street.
It is, therefore, suggested that the timing of this green light be better balanced or an amber arrow be installed on the traffic light to enable traffic turning east to proceed with caution, an option that existed before the installation of the light.
