I have been a strong supporter of the People's Partnership and I am aghast at the many mistakes they have made.It is about time that they wake up and get their act together and present a front of integrity and balance.Since the alternative is the PNM, I shall have no other choice but to support the Partnership. I know that there are thousands who face the same predicament.
So Kamla has to wake up and introduce new faces with new ideas and sound principles to save the day.The latest of these missteps is the present imbroglio involving the New Flying Squad and the various conflicting stories coming from the Minister, the CoP and Mervyn Cordner. The man in the centre of it all is the eminent Minister of National Security who now figures prominently in another episode involving the COP and its former chairman Mr Vernon De Lima.
In the former fiasco the truth may never emerge, and in the latter there is a strong possibility that the COP may have no alternative but to leave the Partnership and end its reign. It therefore seems that the future of the govt lies in the hands of the irrepressible Jack Warner.
Kamla has to move swiftly to defuse the situation and take decisive action now.
