The PP Government in the Senate is very weak. Take away Anand Ramlogan and Vasant Bharath and the standard of debating becomes very poor. How on earth, in a coalition government, can the calibre of speakers be so substandard when there are so many professionals to choose from?
The prime minister should take time to listen to some of the contributions of her senatorial team. They are almost always unprepared and sometimes off-track. Weak speakers have always been the norm of this PP Government. No wonder bills can't seem to get passed in the Senate these days.
