In 2006 the COP came in­to be­ing on strong prin­ci­ples of good gov­er­nance and il­lu­mi­nat­ed the way for the new pol­i­tics of in­tegri­ty and trans­paren­cy.In the Peo­ple's Part­ner­ship it held the hopes of all who han­kered af­ter strong prin­ci­ples of good gov­er­nance.It was to be the con­science of the Peo­ple's Part­ner­ship, but alas the in­ex­orable de­scent in­to cor­rup­tion, mis­man­age­ment and pa­tron­age has ren­dered it in­ef­fec­tive to car­ry out the man­date of Mr Win­ston Dook­er­an.

It has now be­come the "B team" of the UNC, hav­ing de­scend­ed in­to the murky depths of bad gov­er­nance.In the present sit­u­a­tion where chaos and con­fu­sion reign supreme, it must find its way out and re­assert the prin­ci­ples on which it was found­ed–truth and hon­esty.The Peo­ple's Part­ner­ship needs lead­er­ship to guide it out of the morass in which it has found it­self.

The COP must pro­vide the lead­er­ship nec­es­sary to break out of the stran­gu­lat­ing in­flu­ence that has ren­dered it in­ef­fec­tive.
