The liquor licensing authority must place the onus on bars, managers and liquor servers to "cut off" patrons who are visibly inebriated or not far from becoming so.Controls must be initiated when patrons are at the bars in the premises. When they are out the door and in their vehicles, for all intents and purposes, the deed is already done.Region must go after Approved Destination Status
China's tourism market can be a major boost to the entire Caribbean diaspora. The Prime Minister and her Caricom partners, fresh from the visit with the President of China must move to seek Approved Destination Status (ADS) for the Caribbean as soon as possible. These applications take several years to be manifested.Such an approval will be a step in the right direction and a coup for tourism in the region and will boost our economy. The Caribbean islands will be welcoming group tours from China, together with business investments potential, especially hotels, and individual travellers.
