Think of nation for a change
Why do we feel that we must re-invent the wheel? I refer to important pieces of legislation that are desperately needed to improve the lives of all Trinidadians. The three that immediately come to mind are:
1) The beverage container bill;
2) The dangerous Dog bill;
3) Gang/Gun Control bill.
Surely there are other countries that have similar laws that can be used in Trinidad or is it that our legislators are conceited enough to believe that they know best? Why must we continue to experience the continuing saga of people being mauled by dogs, gangsters out on bail committing crimes, and floods caused by drains blocked with discarded beverage containers, while the politicians blame each other?
Simple answer, no political will. For God’s sake, and that of T&T, get up and do the job that you were elected to do instead of pandering to every Tom, Dick and Harrilal stakeholder. Think of the good to the nation, not only your future. Just my 2 cents.
