I have been searching the daily newspapers diligently for an explanation of why a spent Lalonde Gordon was chosen to run in the 4x400 metres relay at the World Championships in Moscow, when Machel Cedenio was available. So far, I've not seen anything. Team manager Dexter Voisin has made all kinds of pronouncements but, apparently, has skilfully avoided giving an explanation on this matter. Even the recent meeting with the Sports Minister did not yield an answer since it seemed to be all about Semoy Hackett.
Please, Mr Voisin, for the record, tell the country what was the thinking that guaranteed that we finish down the field rather than be in medal contention, scuttling whatever chance we had of maintaining our proud tradition in this relay.
