Veto the gas pipeline
I have had reason to advise the Minister of Finance that the citizens of this country are not fools. First, Madam PM, your Minister of Energy told Parliament that there was no signed agreement with Venezuela to exploit the Loran Manatee gas field. Now you have contradicted the statement of your Minister of Energy by saying that the agreement (which did not exist) gives T&T a veto power. If so Madam PM, then veto the construction of the 272km pipeline from the field to the Venezuelan coast.
Once that pipeline is built there is no way any Government in T&T can prevent the gas in that field from going to Venezuela. We just cannot trust any thing this Government says or does. It is so sad.
