I do not believe in crying over spilt milk or oil for that matter. What is done is done. We should not look back but we must learn from this spill clean-up.The energy minister said we have spent $20 million on clean-up so far. I think we should have had local expertise deal with this.I know we are very much capable in handling emergencies like these. The proverbial foreign expert on the white horse was not necessary, we can do it.We must continue monitoring and analysing. The task is not over. We have now started.
We should have been able to capitalise on the cold front in the USA by having more oil for sale.We are not out of the woods as yet, far from it.Let us continue to work as a team: Petrotrin, OWTU, Govt and Opposition. T&T is our land and of it we are proud and glad.WTI Crude oil is $98.23 USD a barrel.Brent Crude is $107.95 USD a barrel. The most expensive barrel of oil is the one spilled.
