Having gone to the airport to pick up a friend recently, it finally dawned on me that on the past ten or more occasions of going to the airport, the car park was always full, regardless of the day, time or month of the year. This shows how very well-off and well-travelled my people are, yet some are quick to complain about the cost of living.Having to park at the very end of the car park prompted me to think how very convenient it would be if there was a shuttle service patrolling to take people to the terminal building.
Nothing big that would involve a multi-million dollar contract, just a few golf cart-type vehicles. Small money, really. That way the authorities would not only provide this service but it would also be a way of keeping an eye on people's cars to make sure no one is trying to break into them.I can't see the Airport Authority not agreeing that this is a good idea.At the same time they could include in the budget, some allocation for additional seating accommodation in the terminal for people (especially the elderly) who have to wait for hours sometimes for their families to come out from immigration and customs.
