I would like to ask question as to why there are so many rusting ships along the coast of Trinidad. I took a trip to San Fernando using the water taxi which, by the way, is one of the best initiatives this government has taken to ease up traffic on the highways especially to go into and out of Port-of-Spain and San Fernando, and seeing those ships which are polluting the our waters slowly on a daily basis, is heartbreaking.
I am sure the Ministry of the Environment personnel view this every day. Why can't they try to clean up the water. The amount of plastic bottles I saw in the water... where is this Beverage Container Bill this Ministry was suppose to implement to reduce the levels of littering?
Is it that the environment is not on the agenda anymore? Seems so, and has been so for a long time. Utilise the young brilliant minds of UWI graduates who want to help reduce global warming and lessen our carbon footprint. As a leading Caribbean country we have the resources to make a change.
