Serve the people, serve the people: famous words, but do the Diego Martin Regional Corporation, Port-of-Spain Corporation and the Government heed these words? The roads in Petit Valley are terrible and need resurfacing and patching. The same goes for the Diego Martin Main Road, and the road to and into Chaguaramas. Driving during the day is bad; try driving at night, and worse yet if rain is falling.
Port-of-Spain roads are no better, but my main concern is our once beautiful Savannah. The grass in and around the Savannah is not kept. There are not enough workers at any one time cutting the grass, and when they do cut the grass by the pitchway, they don't use a blower, so all the grass remains on the pitchway and dries up.
The garbage in the bins around the Savannah is not removed in a timely way and with the growing number of vagrants now making the Savannah their home they are having a field day. Let's hope all this could be rectified sooner rather than later.
