I view the plan of discontented politicians and other officials to form a new political party as opening another avenue for more controversy and a new era of political confrontation and internal political wrangling.
This defunct group of politicians, having failed to advance successfully in their careers, are now trying to pull the wool over the eyes of ordinary citizens, highlighting themselves as cure-all for our ills. They are dying to get control of the Treasury and this could only lead to more approved corruption on a large scale.
It is obvious from our inherited ongoing problems, headed by corruption and galloping crime, that new blood is needed. We need citizens with political ambition, good morals, self-discipline, compassion and integrity to govern this nation.
The problem is, however, even if we could find such citizens, we still are landed with an incompetent police force and an alleged corrupt judiciary.
It is therefore essential that the present government remove, without further delay, those officials in positions of authority who are of no real value in trying to build a secure and happy nation.
To commence a new cycle of politics which includes some of those citizens already tarnished with the scars of failure, is asking for more internal political dissatisfaction and civil lawlessness.
