Millions of people around the world celebrate Good Friday but how many devote a small period on this day to meditate, pray and introspect?Jesus Christ died for our sins but when we ignore the spiritual meaning of his crucifixion and continue to reap benefits from our improper and immoral actions we repeatedly crucify him every day.
T&T seems to be spiralling out of control. Everyday we are greeted with news of murder and corruption. School children are running sex rings and committing other crimes simply because they can get away with it.We need to re-evaluate ourselves as a people and figure out where we are heading. One way of doing so is to recommit ourselves to the spiritual ideals taught by the masters, one being Jesus the Christ who died for our sins.
Let us think of each other instead of ourselves. Remember that every action has a reaction and when we do wrong to benefit ourselves, society is negatively affected.Today is Good Friday. Meditate. Remember Christ today. Remember that our country needs a spiritual healing.
