When it comes to dreaming up ways of getting rich on this island by use of kickbacks, you can't beat the ingenuity of our politicians. Sometime ago the once action-man of the PP suggested we build a tunnel through the Maracas hills.
Then I heard there was mention of building a tunnel under the sea to Tobago by another bright spark.
Then we had the project of our unfinished new highway to Point Fortin costing an arm and a leg.
Now we have run out of earth on which to build more roads the latest suggestion is to build a road on sea from Port-of-Spain to Chaguaramas.
I suspect this is so that those rich property owners in Chaguaramas could get to and from Port-of-Spain in a hurry. What next, roads in the sky?
