I had the displeasure of seeing a picture of Njisane Phillip in Saturday's Guardian posing with three young ladies at the "Ciroc Pineapple Vodka" launch at the Kapok Hotel.
Who is this young man's mentor? Anybody?
How does anyone associated with Njisane explain why our 'Olympic Gold Medal' hopeful is involved with promoting an alcoholic beverage?
What message is he sending to our up and coming young cyclists and athletes as a whole?
At the risk of being na�ve, I am appealing to the advertising agencies and the media in general to please save people from themselves.
When someone popular does not appreciate the responsibility they carry, please do not exploit their innocence while tarnishing their reputation for someone else's profit.
